An Artist Showcase by Daniele Jones

🎨 October Feature Artist at McKinney Art Gallery

We’re thrilled to celebrate Daniele Jones as our October Artist Showcase! Her thought-provoking mixed media works will be on display all month long at the McKinney Art Gallery in Historic Downtown McKinney.

And don’t miss the special after-hours exhibit:

📅 Saturday, October 11th

🕠 5:30pm – 8:00pm

📍 McKinney Art Gallery, 118 E. Louisiana Street, Downtown McKinney

About the Exhibit: Textures of Life

This body of work explores how change shapes our world—where endings become beginnings and resilience rises from transition. With layered textures, organic shapes, and unexpected surfaces, Daniele reveals a visual story of cycles and renewal. Each piece invites viewers to linger in those in-between spaces, where transformation is most alive.

Artist Statement – Daniele Jones

"I explore the relationship between destruction and renewal, examining how memory, time, and transformation intersect in both human and natural cycles. Through my use of mixed media techniques, I create dialogues between decay and growth, suggesting that beauty emerges not despite fragmentation but because of it. I engage deeply with impermanence, using motifs of spirals, organic forms, and weathered surfaces to meditate on how consciousness and time operate across different scales—from the cosmic to the intimate. I often focus on liminal spaces, capturing those uncertain boundaries where one state dissolves into another. My aesthetic reflects my belief that destruction is not an ending but a necessary precursor to new forms of life and understanding, where resilience emerges through the process of falling apart."
