Magda Dia

Magda Dia (Magnus McKinney Ceramics) is a local potter and clay artist in downtown McKinney Texas. She favors bold colors, vibrant hues and prefers functional pottery with color schemes that work well together.

Magda arrived in Texas for her husband relocation and just fell in love with the gentle and old timey feel of downtown McKinney.

She’s been awarded “artist of distinction” from MAST (McKinney Art Studio Tour) for her contributions to the arts in Collin County. Her art studio, Jump into Art Studios, is a vibrant hub of creativity to more than 20 local artists teaching and offering art workshops and classes in painting, sculpture, glass fusing, sewing and mosaics.

Magda is a local tour guide for Visit McKinney’s Walking Public Art Tour which highlights the McKinney Arts Commissions goal of enhanced public art in and around downtown.
